CMM Operator / Tracker tech

Summary

Responsible for the measuring and quality inspection of Schwab products by performing the following duties:

Essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)

• Measure and inspect to ensure customer specifications are met.
• Set details or fixtures on the CMM machines or Tracker.
• Complete manual hand check inspections.
• Knowledge of Metrology software to efficiently utilize CMM / tracker equipment.
• Reads prints and utilizes GD&T to meet customer defined specifications.
• Knowledge of customer standards

Housekeeping

• Keeping area clean and tidy including general housekeeping.
• Dispose of scrap and waste in accordance with Company requirements.

Time management

Responsible for effective use of time and recording of time daily in E2 as directed.

Right to know

Knows the purpose and location of Material Safety Data Sheets.

Safety

Work with safe manufacturing processes and understand that hearing protection and ANSI approved eyewear is mandatory in the manufacturing area.  Knows that safety shoes are recommended in the manufacturing area.

Qualifications

Education and experience

One year certificate in Quality Measurement Systems from college or technical school and/or three years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language skills

The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, drawings, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals in English.

Mathematical skills

The ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.  The ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry.

Reasoning ability

The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagrammatic form.  The ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
