Summary

Responsible for the measuring and quality inspection of Schwab products by performing the following duties:

Housekeeping

Time management

Responsible for effective use of time and recording of time daily in E2 as directed.

Right to know

Knows the purpose and location of Material Safety Data Sheets.

Safety

Work with safe manufacturing processes and understand that hearing protection and ANSI approved eyewear is mandatory in the manufacturing area.  Knows that safety shoes are recommended in the manufacturing area.

Qualifications

Education and experience

One year certificate in Quality Measurement Systems from college or technical school and/or three years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language skills

The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, drawings, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals in English.

Mathematical skills

The ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.  The ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry.

Reasoning ability

The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagrammatic form.  The ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to stand and walk.  The employee frequently is required to use hands, handle or feel and to be able to reach with hands and arms.  The employee is occasionally required to sit, talk and hear.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
